Bella and the Cullens soon realize that the Seattle murders are being committed by an "army" of newborn vampires, controlled by Victoria. The Cullens join forces with the wolf pack to combat this threat. As everyone else prepares for battle, Edward, Bella and Jacob camp in the mountains, hidden during the battle, where they are later joined by Seth Clearwater, a young wolf pack member, to wait out the fight.
In the morning, Jacob becomes upset and howls loudly when he overhears Edward and Bella discussing their engagement and threatens to join the fight and get himself killed. Bella stops Jacob by kissing him, and she comes to realize that she is in deeply love with him as well. During the battle, Victoria tracks Edward's scent to Bella's forest hiding place, and Edward is forced to fight. Edward manages to kill Victoria and her vampire army is destroyed. Afterwards, Bella explains to Jacob that while she loves him, she loves Jacob even more. After receiving a wedding invitation from Edward, Jacob leaves in his wolf form to escape his heartbreak over Bella's rejection. This is a story where I feel like I'm one of the characters--- Jacob. I can understand Jacob's feelings, how the effort that he has put in for Bella, did not make her turn for him. I would like to have the chance to watch the movie and also found the book warm. Charlie, however, left an everlasting impression in my mind, he's just that king of ordinary but caring dad. Albeit he through temper at Bella for sticking with Edward and ignoring all her best friends, it is that selfless love that touched me. Although Bella was angry and frustrated at him, at the end of the book, they were just still the warm and loving family. (P.S. Bella's mother left Charlie)

MY book Rating: *****
